<title>Equal Workers rights in all EU state</title>
 <link>http://www.european-citizens-consultations.eu/uk/proposal/2086</link>
<description>I propose that all citizens of the EU have same workers rights accross the EU including Trade Union membership and standard wages. This will stop the undercutting of wages by multi-national companies and will help to bring an end to protectionism over jobs in individual states.

 <title>One Man One Job</title>
 <link>http://www.european-citizens-consultations.eu/uk/proposal/2083</link>
 <description>What if eveyone worked?
What I am proposing os a government program that guarantees every adult willing to work «one job».
This may sound utopic, but doon&#039;t governments «guarantee» bank deposits? Doesn&#039;t the EU guarantee wheat prices to prince Charles? Doesn&#039;t everyone agree that «toxic assets» should be guatanteed too? So why not «guarantee» a job every person willing to work?

 <title>&quot;Family Manager&quot; as Profession</title>
 <link>http://www.european-citizens-consultations.eu/uk/proposal/2082</link>
<description>At present, if one admits to be only doing &quot;home duties&quot; one is being asked - &quot; What, you do not work?&quot;- As if work were identical with being formally employed.
It is proposed that &quot;F a m i l y M a n a g e r&quot; title be granted to those house-wifes and house-husbands who perform family duties as their full-time activity.
He/she, or when necessary, their replacement is in fact System Manager. Since the family as a &quot;basic economic unit&quot; comprises a small number of members, or system components, he/she makes it work and keeps running by converting ideas to life and action.

<title>Making the case for lower taxation across the EU</title>
 <link>http://www.european-citizens-consultations.eu/uk/proposal/2081</link>
<description>High taxation de-motivates both on a personal level and an economic one.
Low taxation stimulates investment and helps to raise the standard of living, resulting in a more contented citizen.
Many poor would not be so poor if the basic cost of living was relatively cheap, and they could live off the basic wage.
Additionally, if this could be arranged, they would need less in the way of supporting benefits, and taxation could also come down.
There should be no taxation on food, clothes or dying.

 <title>Improve European Democracy!</title>
 <link>http://www.european-citizens-consultations.eu/uk/proposal/2067</link>
<description>The Citizens’ Initiative - first set out in the Constitutional Treaty - should be enacted immediatley to open a new channel for democratic participation in Europe and help to create the public realm the EU badly needs.
The Citizens&#039; Initiative stipulates that a petition with at least one million signatures obtained from a number of Member States may be sent to the Commission inviting it to take a legislative initiative, provided the latter is compatible with the EU&#039;s rules and principles.
