What if eveyone worked?

What I am proposing os a government program that guarantees every adult willing to work «one job».

This may sound utopic, but doon't governments «guarantee» bank deposits? Doesn't the EU guarantee wheat prices to prince Charles? Doesn't everyone agree that «toxic assets» should be guatanteed too? So why not «guarantee» a job every person willing to work?

Society is paying one way or the other. Every person alive has to eat; or he/she wouldn't be alive. The process by which a person with no revenue survives may vary but the burden is on society just the same. Either through a formal «dole» or some other sort of social or family solidarity, society does upkeep its unemployed. Might as well employ well employ them.

Unemployment as an exlusion device would then cease o exist.
