In the China Olympics, Europe won more gold medals than China, America and Russia combined. . b) The cost of putting on the Olmypic games is getting too much for any individual nation to afford and 2012 will be a heavy burden on the British taxpayer even with lottery contributions. . c) It will give us something to celebrate and be proud of as Europeans.
