Recognize our differences

Recognize our differences

While we can all agree that the EU is in the main a wothwhile goal and offers many benefits to the continents citizens, we also need to maintain our individual countries differences and quirks.
Trying not be be politically incorrect, we need to admit that some countries have totally different work systems, cultures and wasy of life that are never going to be compatible. Are the Briritsh ever going to fully adopt the "manana" attitude of the mediteranean countries? Are the mediteranean countries ever going to accept the British habit of queuing and showing reserve. These are just a couple of examples.
So while each coutry should celebrate their own and each others different cultures we should stop trying to be a single unit and recognize that in some areas we are never going to see eye to eye. While we all enjoy the differences on holiday should we really try to be something we're not in daily life?
The EU works well as a supervising entity, but should we really be at the point where we try to generate a "one size fits all" solution?
