The EU should create the same working conditions and rules for all EU citizens based on a harmonised Labour Code, harmonising working conditions for employees, right and obligations for employers. This code should include the right to decent salaries and working hours, and it should include the principle of equal pay for equal work between men and women as well as workers from other EU Member States.
How can I take part in the debate?
Throughout the European Citizens' Consultations, 1 600 citizens from the 27 countries of the EU have determined 15 recommendations on the economic and social future of Europe. You may discuss these recommendations in this dedicated forum.

It is aberrant that in the 21st century we still have to fight to promote equal pay and equal work for men and women, this should have been done ages ago!!
Referring to equal pay and equal work between workers from other EU member States, it looks far more complicated as the way of living from one country to another within the EU is very different and to achieve this goal, it would be good to first reach a certain similar economic level between the 27 member States, what won't be done tomorrow...
